Tracking time with Attendance

Attendance module allows recording time only on predefined activities. You simply clock in and out for work and breaks. 

This is a different approach from the use usually given to the Time Tracking module, which allows you to track time on tasks, projects, clients and also activities. The Time Tracking module also consists of several ways of time tracking through the Calendar, Agenda, or Timesheet modes.

Attendance is a simpler tool, designed to measure time within specific parameters.

Depending on the user's role, the user can create time records, live or backdated, edit the time records and increase or decrease the registered time ad hoc.

To start tracking time on the main activity, do the following:

  1. Go to the Attendance module

  2. Click on the "Play" button

  3. When done, click on the "Stop" button, as seen below:

As you can see, the default set main activity is "Work". How to change the default activity is explained in this article.

To track time on predefined activities, do the following:

  1. Click on the "Play" button of the Activity you want to register, as seen below

  2. When done, click on the "Stop" button
