Tasks are a specific part of the projects, which involve a series of actions that need to be performed in order to achieve the goals and thus be able to develop the projects.

They allow you to have a detailed overview of the actions carried out or to be performed in order to complete a project.

The Individual items of a tasks


The first item is the project. It will always be filled out since you went inside of that particulat project a created a task inside. However, if you decide that task belongs to a different project, you can just simply change the project it should be assigned to.


Name is pretty straightforward. It should be short and snappy. A good example of a task's name is Designing new icons or Document analysis. Please remember, tasks are items that should be finished within a short period of time and have an exact deadline as opposed to activities.


Code should be used as an abbreviation of a task's name. The code's length is not limited, however, we encourage you to keep it between 3-5 letters. For instance the Code of the task Document analysis could be DOCA.

Note, the Code will be displayed in front of the task's name.


Assigning owners to tasks is powerful, because it makes it easier for your teammates to find a way around to choose the correct task. Once the task gets an owner assigned, he will see only his tasks alongside with tasks not assigned to any owner.

You can asssign an owner by editing previously created tasks or during the process of creating the task.

Notice, I am under the account "Smith John". In the project, there are two tasks. Doe Jane is the owner of the task Designing new icons and I am the owner of the task Document analysis.

See, when creating a new time record, only the tasks that I am the owner of are among my options. In case there would not be any owners assigned, both tasks Designing new icons and Document analysis would be visible to me.

The "Beneficial" characteristic:

Attributes the quality of beneficial to the task.

If you select the option beneficial, it will affect the results of the beneficialness of the time records which it is assigned to.

On the other hand, if you select the option non-beneficial, the time record created for the task will be automatically considered as "non-beneficial", which means it is not helpful in achieving the goal.


Add the hours you plan to spend on the task. If the plan gets overreached, a red triangle symbol will appear.


Add a planned budget for a task. Note that this option is available only for billable projects. Same as for the plan, if the budget gets overreached, a red triangle symbol will appear.

Done option

The “Done” option in the “Edit Task” and "Time Record" window enable to mark the task as finished.

Tasks can be managed in bulk in the project's task overview.

If you wonder where did those task go, then we will show you. They are now marked as completed.

In order to see those, you need to change the status from "only active" onto either "only completed" or "all".
