Impulses are a quick and effective way to register new time records by selecting tasks or projects that you either have created or have previously worked on. This feature may save you a lot of time by automatically filling in previously stored information on your new time records.

When creating a new time record through the Impulses, the time record’s information will be either copied from:

  • Previously submitted time records (named the Timeline section)

OR

  • Projects which you are member of and their related tasks (named Tasks or Assignments section depending on your predefined Impulses settings).

You can define which type of Impulses you want to be shown by accessing the Time Tracking Settings → Impulses - see the "Related Articles" section at the end of this article.

Working with the Timeline section

In the Timeline section, you can find a list of tasks you’ve worked on in the past, as well as events gathered from external software such as Microsoft Exchange or Google Calendar in the form of Impulses.

  1. Click on the Timeline section button

  2. Click on the Impulse you want to create a time record from

  3. Select one of the options you would like to do with the Impulse:

Working with Tasks/Assignments section
